Florimond Wassenaar has been an attorney since 2000. He worked at the former Department for Legal Aid in Rotterdam and with Böhler Advocaten in Amsterdam (now Prakken D’Oliveira Human Rights Lawyers). In 2009, he established with three colleagues a law firm in Rotterdam-West that merged in Inigo Advocaten in 2017. From the outset, Florimond has been working on immigration law and nationality law. Within the working field of immigration law, the emphasis of his practice is on nationality, national security, public order, detention of foreign nationals and family reunification. He offers legal aid and charges a professional fee or provides his services through the system of financed legal aid.
Florimond is also teaching at the training institute for Social Law OSR. He lectures on current events in laws on detention of foreign nationals and general regular immigration laws.

– Detention of foreign nationals
Under this registration, he is obliged to achieve ten points of training in each registered principle area in accordance with the standards of the Netherlands Bar Association.
